Jane Brasovan
August 7, 1938 - May 5, 2024

It is with both profound sadness and a celebration of her graduation to heaven that we announce the passing of Jane Brasovan, who left us peacefully on May 5, 2024, due to heart complications following a recent bout with Covid-19. Jane was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Ansley and Louise, and was the beloved sister of the late Mary Segraves of Atlanta, Georgia.

Jane married her college sweetheart Joe Rose in 1959, only to be widowed three years when Joe passed away due to cancer. Shortly thereafter she remarried and became a (step)mom to five-year-old Saga and seven-year-old Louie. She loved these kids as if they were her own. Her heart was always to be a mom, and she was the best there was. She later gave birth to Keith and then Mike Brasovan shortly before that marriage ended.

Jane called Spring (1979-1990) and The Woodlands (1990-2023), Texas her home before being cared for by her son Keith. Jane was a strong woman who singlehandedly, with help from God, raised Keith and Mike almost completely as a single mom. She worked hard to support them, dedicating 35 years of her life to Texaco (and later Chevron), where she began her career as a receptionist and retired as the North American database manager for petroleum product labeling. Known for her tireless work ethic, she also possessed a heart full of generosity, always finding greater joy in giving than receiving.

Her faith in Christ was deep and unwavering, believing firmly in forgiveness through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for the shortcomings she had. She looked forward to being reunited with loved ones that shared that faith.

She leaves behind a legacy of love for her family. She is survived by her older son Ketih Brasovan and his wife Chris Randall; son Mike Brasovan and his wife Karen; stepchildren Louie Brasovan and Saga Steven (who Jane considered her daughter) and her husband Tim Stinnet; grandson Justin Brasovan and wife Katie; grandson Michael Brasovan and his wife Erin; granddaughters Courtney Brasovan and Rachael Brasovan; great-granddaughter Charlotte Brasovan; and several nieces and nephews, and their children.

We mourn her loss while celebrating her rich life and the impact she had on everyone she met. Her departure is not a goodbye but a “see you later” as she graduates to her heavenly home.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at StoneBridge Church in the Woodlands on May 21, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. If you knew Jane and would like to share your memories of her with her friends and family, please let us know if you plan to attend by emailing MikeB@MikeBrasovan.com.
