UPDATE: MCTX Sheriff Investigates Stabbing in Porter

PORTER, TX --During the course of the investigation, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit identified the suspect of the stabbing as Jonathan Meza from Porter, TX. Meza was placed in custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he is currently being held on a $150,000 bond for the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a first-degree felony.

The victim is currently out of surgery and is in stable condition.

On May 15, 2024, at about 4:00 pm, MCTXSheriff Deputies responded to a stabbing call in the 21000 block of Tanner Trail N in Porter. Upon arrival, Deputies learned that a 43-year-old female had been stabbed multiple times by her 20-year-old son, who was located inside the residence. Deputies detained the suspect, and the female was transported to a local hospital where she is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, but remains in critical condition.

Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit, along with Crime Scene Investigators, are currently on scene and investigating the incident. At this time, there is no threat to the public. This remains an active investigation, and more details will be released as they become available.
