The Woodlands Township looks ahead to the weekend following stormy weather

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- As the significant rainfall moves out of our area, The Woodlands Township provides the following updates and tips for the weekend to encourage residents to stay informed and aware. Thank you for your patience as we all work together to recover from the storm.

Trash and Recycling Service

  • Waste Management experienced delays in some routes due to severe weather and street flooding. If your service was missed, please leave your cart out and easily accessible for service. Waste Management will make every effort to collect missed areas.
  • The Woodlands Recycling Drop-Off Center will be open regular hours on Saturday, May 4, 2024, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fallen Trees

Township Facilities and Events

  • Riva Row Boat House will be open Friday evening with Starlight Swans (sold out) and expects to be open over the weekend. Lakes Edge Boat House, however, will be closed through Sunday.
  • The Mall Swans are open Friday evening and expected to be open through the weekend.
  • Texas TreeVentures is closed Friday, including the Lights, Heights and Bites event which has been cancelled. Texas TreeVentures is expected to be open Saturday and Sunday.
  • The Township’s Recreation Centers are open regular hours all weekend, including Family Bingo as scheduled on Friday.
  • Aquatics activities remain as scheduled; cancellations if needed will be handled through normal cancellation procedures.
  • Yappy Hour at Cattail Park is cancelled for Friday, with a new date to be determined.
  • The Open Water Swim at Lake Woodlands, scheduled for Saturday, has been cancelled. The clinics and packet pickup will be held at Town Hall. Please see the event calendar page for full details.
  • The Fired Up Tour at The Woodlands Fire Department, scheduled for Saturday, 10 a.m., at Station 8, is on as scheduled.
  • Trolleys in Town Center are expected to run regular schedules throughout the weekend.
  • The Woodlands Farmer’s Market will be closed due to the Insperity Golf Tournament. For additional information about the Insperity Golf Tournament, please visit their website.
