Operating for more than 20 years, the company was formed when the owners of two RE/MAX® companies -- Rocky Del Papa and Debbie and Ted Bates -- joined forces. The company was honored in 2008 when RE/MAX International named it one of their “Great Offices” and featured it on a TV segment on the RE/MAX® Satellite Network. RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring is currently comprised of three real estate offices conveniently located to serve our community.

For the past five years, RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring has teamed with the Houston Marriot to present the annual RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring Houston Marriot Golf Tournament. This autumn event, which draws area real estate agents, golf enthusiasts and pros and local and national celebrities alike, is held each year at the Woodforest Golf Club at Fish Creek in Montgomery and benefits Children’s Miracle Network. To date, the golf tournament has raised over $60,000 for CMN, funds that go directly to supporting local children’s healthcare through Texas Children’s Hospital. History of RE/MAX®
In 1973, Dave and Gail Liniger founded RE/MAX in Denver, Colorado, motivated by their dissatisfaction with the way the real estate business was conducted at that time.
Most Houston real estate offices, like virtually all others, used the split-commissions system at that time, regardless of their operation's size, which required real estate agents to give up half of their commissions to the sponsoring broker in exchange for services and office space. The top producers contributed the most to the operation's overhead, thus supporting the amateur, part-time and low-producing real estate agents. This was not beneficial to the agent and more importantly, the client! Most Texas real estate agents left the business within two years, making residential real estate in Houston and all over Texas a high-turnover industry comprising in large part inexperienced and unprofessional staffs.
The Linigers were determined to change all that.
Dave and Gail felt that to attract and retain the best agents in the business, brokers must offer them maximum compensation, advanced support services and the freedom they need to succeed. The strategy worked.
