About Us

Advanced practice provider Jessica Hansen is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C), who also holds a certificate in basic life support (BLS) and prescriptive authority from the Drug Enforcement Administration. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University and her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Having practiced in settings ranging from intensive care to women's health and community clinics, Jessica has extensive experience in preventive medicine, acute and urgent care, routine screenings, physicals and management of chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, thyroid, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart disease, obesity, eczema and asthma. Jessica's primary clinical interests are health promotion and wellness, endocrinology, women's health, sports medicine and nutrition.

Jessica became interested in being a nurse practitioner because she wanted to help prevent health problems and promote wellness that can add years of health to patients' lives. Her approach to patient care is person-centered: guiding patients to make informed health-related decisions, working with them to identify individual health goals and helping them define how to reach those goals.

Her greatest satisfaction comes from empowering her patients in their own health journeys. Her patients describe her as a good listener who takes her time, genuinely cares and explains treatment plans well.

Jessica is a member of the North Harris Montgomery Advanced Practice Nurse Society, Texas Nurse Practitioners and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Beyond her clinical practice, Jessica has always been interested in improving health for all ages in both the local and global communities. She has done volunteer work in Israel, Palestine, Guatemala and China.

Away from her practice, Jessica likes to spend time with her family--cooking together, cheering on their favorite sports teams and taking walks on nearby nature trails with the family dog. She volunteers with local community organizations and feels most relaxed when she's getting lost in a good book.Advanced practice provider Jessica Hansen is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C), who also holds a certificate in basic life support (BLS) and prescriptive authority from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
