Senator John Cornyn was born in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a degree in Journalism and, then later, St. Mary's University in San Antonio with a law degree.
Senator John Cornyn serves on the Armed Services, Judiciary and Budget Committees. He is, also, Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Ethics. He serves as the top Republican on both the Judiciary Committee’s Immigration, Refugees and Border Security Subcommittee and the Armed Services Committee’s Airland Subcommittee.
