Connect 2 Health sponsors fundraiser for Women's Center

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- Connect 2 Health Wellness Center is hosting a Grand Opening fundraiser celebration on Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with all proceeds will go to the Montgomery County Women's Center. Chiropractor, Dr. Amber Smith, is sponsoring the full-day event featuring moonwalks, snow cones, cotton candy, face painting, live music, along with free breakfast and coffee provided by Cafe Del Mar in Spring.

"This is going to be a good day for us to connect with the community and to do something good for the women's shelter," Dr. Smith said.

Amanda Stephens with Connect 2 Health has organized numerous sponsors for raffle items including: Wal-Mart, Babins, Academy, Starbucks, and Smoothie King. In addition to these sponsors, Rodney Anderson, co-owner with wife Amy, of Crescent Moon Wine Bar, donated a wine dinner for four at their location at 440 Rayford Road in Spring as the Grand Prize for the event.

"Dr. Smith and Amanda Stephens are pulling out the stops in providing a full-day Grand Opening celebration. They have been wonderfully supportive and we are grateful they have aligned with the Women's Center," Donna Wick said, director of outreach and communications for the agency. "We are also grateful for our community partner, Crescent Moon Wine Bar, who has donated the Grand Prize of a wine dinner for four at their location. This donation along with others will greatly benefit the Women's Center and the women and children who currently reside in shelter."
