Joe Griffin of the Strong Firm appointed as Chairman of the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Joe Griffin of The Strong Firm P.C. has been appointed as the Chairman of the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber for 2012.

“I am very excited to serve in this role for our local Hispanic chamber,” said Griffin. “Our goal is to provide opportunities and events that primarily benefit local businesses and charities, as well as the local community. Among my goals for the year as Chairman are to increase membership, increase the number of charities that benefit from our unique event ‘Fight For A Cause,’ and continue to give back to the local community through the college scholarships for area high school graduates we provide through our annual Fiesta Universal party at Market Street – The Woodlands.”

Joe Griffin is an Associate Attorney with The Strong Firm. His areas of practice include: business law and contracts; corporations; LLCs and partnerships; business and investor immigration; real estate; trademarks; and estate planning and probate.

He is a graduate of The University of Houston Law Center, where he served as Publications Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law, President of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society student chapter, Director of External Affairs for the Federalist Society student chapter, Coordinator for the North American Consortium on Legal Education (“NACLE”), and actively participated in the Hispanic Law Students Association. Griffin was awarded a clerkship with the Department of Foreign Affairs in Mexico City, D.F. where he served as a law clerk in their international litigation section for 10 weeks. Griffin also received a public interest fellowship for his work in Mexico City and was the winner of the NACLE student paper competition which highlights North American comparative law issues.

Griffin received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, in International and Latin American Studies. He and his wife have three children. Having lived in Argentina, as well as in Mexico City D.F., Griffin is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.
