Local Recycling Centers Offer Greener Way to Clear Clutter

The Woodlands, TX -- Instead of trashing your post holiday extras take a minute to think if it can be recycled. The Woodlands has two recycling facilities that can help make your new year's cleaning a little more green.

The Montgomery County Precint 3 Recycling and Reuse facility is located at 1122 Pruitt Road, and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday. This facility will take your aluminum cans, cardboard, glass containers, mixed metal, paper, plastic containers, yard trimmings, automotive items, clothing, electronics, latex paint, household chemicals, outdoor/gardening chemicals and other flammable paint products. For more information please call 281-367-7283 or visit the Web site below.

The Woodlands Recycling Center is located on Research Forest Drive, between Shadowbend Drive and East Trillium Circle. This center will take metal cans, glass, paper, cardboard, paperboard, brown paper bags and plastic bottles. The Woodlands Recycling Center is open from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
