CISD Names March Ambassador Award Winners

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- Conroe ISD Ambassador Award recipients for the month of March were recognized on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 by Board Member Gerald Irons, Sr. and Superintendent Dr. Don Stockton.

A student, educator, and paraprofessional from each campus is selected and paid a surprise visit to personally recognize and congratulate them. Students are awarded the honor for outstanding citizenship, respect for others, and providing a positive impact on the school. Educators received the award for demonstration of academic excellence and encouragement of exemplary student achievement. Paraprofessionals are recognized for the positive, efficient and effective role they play to support students and/or school programs. One recipient for each award is chosen from every school during the year, making this an extraordinary honor.

Recipients of the Educator Ambassador Award for March were Gladys Baggett, Oak Ridge High; Kathy Wolff, Oak Ridge Elementary; Brad Posey, York Junior High; Sean Forman, Vogel Intermediate; Tracy Kegel, Ford Elementary; Sarah Trout, Kaufman Elementary; and Meredith Terrell, Broadway Elementary.

Student Ambassadors included Kalem Bourque, Oak Ridge High; Randy Gil, Oak Ridge Elementary; Ashley Porter, York Junior High; Peyton Schard, Houser Elementary; Eli Ornellas, Vogel Intermediate; Anna Stinson, Ford Elementary; Hannah Erwin, Kaufman Elementary; and Samatha Alleman, Broadway Elementary.

The paraprofessionals honored by Stockton and Irons were Cathy Auld, Oak Ridge High; Bonnie Friesen, York Junior High; Isabel Rios, Houser Elementary; Juanice Vickers, Vogel Intermediate; LaShonda Henderson, Ford Elementary; Wendy Hedgpeth, Kaufman Elementary; and Wendi Lambright, Broadway Elementary.
