District 2 - Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)
DWI Arrest
Deputy G. Fruge was dispatched to a welfare check at 25226 Grogan's Mill Road. The vehicle was located and Deputy Fruge made contact with male driver, 48. The driver had a strong odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and he had a difficult time keeping his balance. He agreed to field sobriety testing and after tests were conducted, it was determined that he was intoxicated. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
Man Arrested for Exposing Himself
On May 1, at 8:05 a.m., Deputy R. Woodrick was dispatched to Gleneagles North in reference to an indecent exposure. Deputies met with a complainant and two witnesses who advised that a man was naked and exposing himself to children at the bus stop. The man was located at his home and witnesses identified him the man they observed at the bus stop. He was arrested for Indecency with a Child/Exposure.
Woman Arrested for Drug Possession
On May 2, 4:57 p.m., Deputy T. McCoy was dispatched to 1025 Sawdust Road in reference to a theft. Dep. McCoy met with an employee who witnessed a woman taking a belt and hair bands. While talking to the woman, 29, the Dep. McCoy noticed, in plain view, a marijuana cigarette. Upon further investigation, Dep. McCoy also found three Xanax pills in a plastic baggy. The woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Uninsured and Unlicensed Driver Arrested for Possession
On May 1, at 11:55 p.m., Deputy D. Hernandez initiated a traffic stop for defective equipment (muffler). The driver did not have his driver's license or insurance. When the officer questioned him if he had anything illegal in the vehicle the driver stated that he had an open container. After further investigation the officer also found 0.83 oz. of marijuana. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana and cited for defective equipment (muffler), no driver's license on demand, and no insurance and open container.
Man Arrested for Multiple Drugs
On April 28, at 5:52 p.m., Sergeant S. Altemus heard an attempt to locate on MCSO primary for a vehicle that was just involved in an accident and fled the scene. Sgt. was flagged down by several individuals who blocked the subject at the entrance light to the shopping center on Grogans Mill Rd. The male subject, 30, kept rummaging through center console of vehicle when the officer ordered him out of the vehicle. After a second command to exit vehicle the man was detained. After a search of his vehicle the officer found several pill bottles in the center console where suspect was rummaging around. Approximately 25 Vicodin pills, 16 Soma pills, 26 Xanax pills were found in the center console of the vehicle. In addition, 4.1 grams of Vicodin and .6 grams of Xanax were found in his pocket, and two glass vials labeled Novadex 50 ml and Cienbuterol 20ml were located in the vehicle and filled with a clear fluid. Also, 4 unknown pills totaling 1.1 grams were found during the search. The man was arrested for Possession of a controlled substance x2, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of marijuana.
District 6 - Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)
Three Men Arrested for Public Intoxication
On May 4, at 1:02 a.m., Corporal J.P. Gonzales and Investigator D. Wallace were notified of a physical disturbance in progress. Officers observed two people in a physical altercation. One was tasered to break up the disturbance. Three men, 26, 46, 47, were arrested and cited for public intoxication, a class C misdemeanor.
Woman Arrested for Trespassing and Theft
On April 26, at 3:15 p.m., Deputy D. Houstoun, was dispatched to 3040 College Park Dr. in reference to a theft and criminal trespass report. A woman, 35, was observed placing several items from grocery department, women's department, and men's department in to her cart, then bagging items up and leaving the store without paying. The woman had also been issued a trespass warning in the past. She was arrested for theft and criminal trespassing.
District 1 - Lt. Darrel Conn (North County)
Man Arrested for Assault
On April 29, Deputy Bourne was dispatched to the 15000 block of E. Williams Road, in Conroe, in reference to a disturbance. The investigation revealed that a man had slapped a woman the face. The man was arrested for Class "C" Assault and the female was arrested for an active warrant.
Robbery
On May 2, Deputy Ray and other Deputies were dispatched to the 14000 block of African Hill Road, in Willis, in reference to a robbery. The complainant reported that three men attacked him and stole over $500 in cash. Deputies quickly located one suspect attempting to leave the area. The complainant identified this suspect on sight. Detectives have the other two suspects' identities and warrants are expected to be issued soon.
Man Shoots
On May 3, Deputy Kader was dispatched to the 13000 block of FM 1314, in reference to a welfare check due to shots being fired. Upon arrival, a female complainant reported that she and her husband had an argument that became violent when he pushed and slapped her. This led to him taking a rifle from the house, outside, where he reportedly shot the windows out of the wife's SUV. The wife refused to file any charges on her husband, but due to the nature of the event, the man was arrested and charged with Family Violence - Assault and Deadly Conduct.
Man Arrested for Driving Four-Wheeler Drunk
On May 3, Deputy Halbert was dispatched to the 13,000 block of Hydra Court, in Willis, in reference to a suspicious person call. Upon arrival, the reportees pointed out an individual who was riding around the subdivision on a four-wheeler. When confronted by residents, the intoxicated male rider identified himself as a police officer. Deputy Halbert arrested this individual for Public Intoxication and Impersonating a Peace Officer. Additional charges of Possession of a Firearm are pending.
Shooting, Robbery Leaves Dog Dead
On May 3, Sergeant Rogers and Deputy Waxler were on Bert Brown Road, in Conroe, at approximately 1:15 AM when they were leaving the scene of a completed call and they heard shots being fired a short distance away at another location. Sergeant Rogers noticed a vehicle attempting to leave the area at a high rate of speed and Deputy Waxler stopped the vehicle which was occupied by three individuals. Sergeant Rogers arrived at the reporting complainant's residence to learn that two men had just attempted to rob him at his residence - at gunpoint. About that time a friend of the complainant walked into the living room where the robbery was taking place. The two actors apparently decided to leave when the complainant collected his 12 gauge shotgun and ran out on the front porch after the two suspects. One of the suspects then raised and pointed a pistol at the complainant and fired two shots. One shot struck the complainant's dog that was on the front porch. The second shot narrowly missed the complainant as it passed over his head and struck the living room ceiling behind the complainant. The complainant advised that he returned fire with his shot gun but apparently did not hit anything. The two suspects got into their vehicle which was occupied by a third individual and attempted to flee the area when they were stopped a short distance away by Deputy Waxler. Two individuals were ultimately arrested for Burglary of a Habitation, Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Animal Cruelty. The dog died at the scene. The third individual, in the vehicle, was not connected to these offenses but was also arrested for an outstanding warrant. All charges are pending prosecution.
District 3 - Lt. Jim Fleming (East County)
Three Arrested After Near Accident
On April 28, Deputy J. Guion stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the area of Loop 494 and North Park. The driver was operating the vehicle in an erratic manner and had almost hit Dep. Guion's vehicle. The male driver was found to be intoxicated. Upon further investigation, a passenger was found to be in possession of marijuana. The 33-year-old driver from Porter was charged with DWI. The male passenger, 25, from Porter was charged with open container and another male passenger, 21, also from Porter, was charged with public intoxication. All three were arrested at 12:05 a.m. and transported to jail.
Forged Prescription Leads to Arrest
On April 28, Deputy J. Amstutz was sent to the 20800 block of FM 1485 in reference to a forgery call. Dep. Amstutz met and detained a male waiting for a prescription to be filled by the pharmacy in the store. Dep. Amstutz then met with the pharmacist who found the prescription presented to be a fake. The doctor was contacted and advised that the prescription was forged. The man, 49, from Cleveland was arrested at 11:15 a.m. and transported to jail.
Husband Assaults Wife
On April 28, Corporal J. Staggs was notified of a family violence assault in the 17900 block of Reinhardt Road. Cpl. Staggs met with the female complainant who advised that she and her husband had gotten into a verbal argument which turned violent. The male had thrown her on the ground and had struck her with a closed fist on the face. The man, 23, from Conroe was arrested at 1:45 a.m. and transported to jail.
Man Arrested for Knife
On April 29, Deputy J. Walker stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation on Penny Road. During the investigation, Dep. Walker observed a switch blade knife in the open glove compartment. The knife belonged to the male passenger who had tried to hide the knife as Dep. Walker made his approach. The 28-year-old man from Conroe was arrested at 2:15 a.m. and taken to jail.
Boyfriend Assaults Woman
On April 30, Deputy C. Evans was dispatched to the 14500 block of Greenleaf Drive in reference to a family violence assault. Dep. Evans met with the female complainant who stated that she and her boyfriend got into an argument and he became violent. He threw a trash can at her striking her on the back. He hit her on the face as she was attempting to call 9-1-1. She was able to run out the door and use a cell phone to call for assistance. The 42-year-old man from Conroe was arrested at 2:07 a.m. and transported to jail.
Son Arrested for Assaulting Mother
On April 30, Deputy C. Turrentine was sent to the 22000 block of Russell Drive in reference to a family violence assault call. Upon arrival, Dep. Turrentine met with the female complainant who advised that her son had pushed her from inside the residence to the outside. The woman was on home oxygen. The son, 18, from New Caney was arrested at 12:47 p.m. and taken to jail.
Dangerous Mixture Gets Man Arrested for DWI
On April 30, Deputy A. White stopped an intoxicated driver in the area of Sorters Road and FM 1314. The male driver had consumed a mixture of beer, whiskey and a prescription medication. He stated that he was having an allergic reaction and he was especially allergic to police. The man was also found to have a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County and operating a vehicle on a suspended license. The 40-year-old male from Porter was arrested at 9:20 p.m. and charged with DWI and the warrant. He was transported to jail.
Meth Arrest
On May 1, Corporal K. Hayden conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck in the 23400 block of FM 2090. The driver was found to have an invalid drivers license. During the investigation, the driver was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The substance field tested as methamphetamine. The 27-=year-old man from Conroe was arrested at 10:35 a.m. and taken to jail.
Intoxicated Man Arrested
On May 2, Deputy C. Evans was sent to the 15100 block of Robin Trail in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Dep. Evans observed a highly intoxicated man standing at the end of the driveway of the residence. The man had been drinking beer and smoking marijuana. The 18-year-old man from Conroe was arrested at 12:34 a.m. and transported to jail.
Man Arrested After Making Threats
On May 2, Deputy P. Rex was notified of a disturbance in the 16200 block of Mystic Ridge. Dep. Rex met with the male complainant who advised that a man had come on his property screaming and making threats toward him. He threatened to shoot the complainant. A witness stated that she had seen and heard the man outside of his residence screaming and hitting trees with a stick or pipe. The 38-year-old male suspect was arrested at 5:00 a.m. and taken to jail.
Man Attempts to Run Over Woman
On May 2, Deputy K. Koonce was dispatched to the 26200 block of Lake Shore Drive in reference to a family violence assault. Dep. Koonce arrived and met with the female complainant who advised that she and her boyfriend had gotten into a verbal argument and that she had attempted to leave in her vehicle. The man blocked her in with his vehicle. She attempted to leave on foot and he stopped her and pushed her down. She left again and the man followed her in his vehicle. He then accelerated and attempted to run her down. She was able to get out of the way. The 20-year-old man from Splendora was arrested at 3:08 p.m. and transported to jail.
Son Arrested for Trashing Mother's House
On May 2, Deputy L. Ray was sent to the 13800 block of Walker Road in reference to a family violence call. Dep. Ray met with the female complainant who stated that her son had caused damage to her residence. The male broke a window, an oscillating fan and several antique figurines. The 18-year-old man from Conroe was arrested at 12:59 a.m. and taken to jail.
Drunk Husband Violently Assaults Wife
On May 3, Deputy C. Murray responded to the 21900 block of Dogwood Drive in reference to a family violence assault call. Upon arrival, Dep. Murray met with the female complainant who stated that her husband had come home drunk and they got into an argument. The husband grabbed her by the neck and punched her several times on the face. He then threw her on the floor injuring her knees. While she was down the male kicked her in the ribs and abdominal area with his foot. The 35-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 2:15 a.m. and transported to jail.
Man Arrested for Assaulting Wife
On May 3, Deputy J. Walker was dispatched to the 17400 block of Oak Grove Lane for a family violence assault call. Dep. Walker met with the female complainant who advised that she and her husband had gotten into an argument over her wanting the keys to the car and him refusing to give them to her. She finally got the keys and as she sat in the vehicle the man grabbed her by the hair and pulled her out. He put her in a headlock to try to get the keys back. Then he grabbed one of her fingers threatening to break it, then started hitting and choking her. The woman grabbed a knife and threatened to cut him if he came close to her again. As she was trying to get back into the car, he tried to slam the door on her leg. He then opened the door and began kicking her on the head. She was able to get away and call for assistance. The 30-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 10:00 p.m. and transported to jail.
Man Threatens to Kill Wife
On May 4, Deputy K. Koonce was notified of a family violence assault call in the 21100 block of Baptist Encampment. Dep. Koonce met with the female complainant who advised that her husband had pushed her down on the floor and held a semi-automatic pistol to her head and threatened to kill her. The 57-year-old male from New Caney was arrested at 12:30 a.m. and transported to jail.
Warrants served:
An 18-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 3:52 p.m. on April 28, at the District 3 sub-station, by Deputy C. Turrentine. The man was there to turn himself in as a military deserter.
A 29-year-old man from Houston was arrested at 5:44 p.m. on April 28, in the area of Hwy 242 and Hwy 59, by Corporal D. Miller for an assault warrant out of Montgomery County. Dep. Miller had stopped the man on a traffic violation.
A 27-year-old man from Conroe was arrested at 9:40 p.m. on April 28, at the District 3 sub-station, by Deputy J. Guion. The man was there to turn himself in. He had seven traffic warrants out of JP 4 Montgomery County.
A 19-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 11:20 a.m. on April 29, in the area of Oak Grove and Lord, by Corporal K. Hayden for a burglary of a habitation/motion to revoke warrant out of Montgomery County. Dep. Hayden had stopped the man on a traffic violation.
District 4 - Lt. Art Galloway (West County)
Woman and Wanted Man Arrested
On April 29, at approximately 5:15 p.m. Deputy A. Sumrall conducted a traffic stop on Travis Lane. He then made contact with the male driver and female passenger who were asked to step out of the vehicle. Evidence found inside the vehicle led to the arrest of the woman for possession of a controlled substance. The man was arrested on a probation violation warrant out of Liberty County. Criminal mischief charges were added on the woman for deliberate damage to a Sheriff's patrol vehicle. This case has been referred to the District Attorney for prosecution.
Backyard Damaged, Go-cart Stolen
On April 29, Cpl. F. Webb was contacted by a complainant in reference to criminal mischief and theft. When Cpl. Webb arrived on location she met with the complainant to obtain information, gather evidence and take photos of the scene. Various structures were damaged, landscape shrub destroyed and a go-cart taken from the backyard for a total estimated loss of $420.00. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
Home Burglary
On April 29, Deputy J. Herman was dispatched to Bobcat Lane in reference to burglary of a habitation. Upon arrival, Dep. Herman met with the complainants who stated that the back door of the residence had been pried open and someone had entered the home. The unknown suspect(s) had entered the master bedroom, pulled out dresser drawers and dumped contents onto the floor. Several items had been removed from under the bed and scattered around the room. There were various items of jewelry missing valued at approximately $1,450.00. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
Auto Burglary
On April 30, Cpl. P. Smith was dispatched to Hartman in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. When Cpl. Smith met with the complainant who stated that someone had removed items from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked outside of his garage. The missing items including a radar detector, a cell phone charger and 2 packs of cigarettes were valued at approximately $243.00. This case has been referred to the detectives division.
A/C Unit Stolen
On May 1, Deputy T. Messina was dispatched to a burglary in progress call on Misty Meadow (Trackside Grocery Store). Dep. Messina spoke, via phone, with the reportee who had been driving by the store, on his way to work, and noticed a person lingering around the A/C condensers. When Dep. Messina arrived on the scene he confirmed that the copper tubing on the two condensing units had been cut and freon was leaking from one of the tubes. The estimated cost to repair/replace the tubing is $400.00.
District 5 - Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)
Woman Finds Marijuana in Vehicle
On April 28, at 2:33 p.m. Deputy J. Enloe responded to a call of found property (marijuana) in the 150 block of Lakeside Drive. The complainant said that when she got back into town and got into her vehicle she could smell marijuana. She looked inside the vehicle and found nothing. She called a neighbor and when they searched the vehicle they found 17.52 grams of marijuana (15 plastic bags) hidden under the spare tire. The vehicle had not been broken into. The complainant said she is going through a divorce and she believes her ex-husband had placed the marijuana inside the vehicle. This case will be turn over to SIU detectives for follow up.
Nephew Steals from Aunt
On May 4, at 8:44 p.m. Deputy R. Thompson responded to a Aggravated Robbery in the 12900 block of Walden Road. The complainant said her nephew came to her home and started helping her carry bags of food inside her home. While inside she said her nephew (suspect) started taking her medicine from her purse and putting it in his pocket. When he was told to stop he pulled a knife and tried to stab the complainant. The suspect then stole money and the medicine and ran out the door. Dep. Thompson got a description of the suspect and had communications air an attempt to locate the suspect. Conroe Police Department officer stopped the suspect's vehicle and held him until Dep. Thompson arrived. Dep. Thompson arrested the suspect and while inventorying the vehicle found approximately two (2) pounds of marijuana behind the drivers seat in plain view. The suspect was placed in the Montgomery County Jail for Aggravated Robbery, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Intoxicated Man Resists Arrest
May 4, at 10:56 p.m. Deputy J. Farmer responded to a disturbance in the 15600 block of Hwy. 105 West. When he arrived, Dep. Farmer found the suspect was very intoxicated. Dep. Farmer arrested the suspect and placed him in the back seat of his patrol vehicle. The man then started kicking the windows of the patrol vehicle. Dep. Farmer removed him from the back seat and the suspect started fighting with him. After a short struggle the suspect, he was again placed in the back of the patrol vehicle and he began hitting his head against the windows. The man was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was charged with Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest/Transportation. The suspects bond was set at $750.
