Joint Election Results

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The votes have been counted and both the CISD and Lone Star College propositions passed in Saturday's Joint Election.

In the Woodlands Township Board election, Bruce Tough lead all candidates with 3,837 votes. The four other candidates that will be joining him on the board are: Nelda Luce Blair (3,205 votes); Peggy S. Hausman (2,823 votes); Tom Campbell (2,623 votes); and Claude Hunter (2,315 votes). The total of 6,314 ballots (just eleven percent of the registered voters in The Woodlands) was a lower turnout than expected for the historic vote.

The new board members will take their seats at the board's next meeting on Wednesday, May 28.
