Little Angel’s Offering Scholarships to Area Families

"On Angels Wings" Initiative Launched

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Pastor of New Life Fellowship Church Patricia Morales, founder and CEO of Little Angels Playhouse Child Development Centers, has set out to help local families.

In today’s struggling economy, Little Angels will offer 20 day care scholarships to area families. Interviews began July 1, and the scholarships will be available for use at the Kuykendahl and Glen Loch locations.

Morales said the interviews will give an opportunity to evaluate each specific family situation as a whole, instead of basing the decision solely on income. She said that even though the area is relatively prosperous economically, some still struggle, and day care was high on the list of needs, along with auto and home expenses.

“What we would like to accomplish with our new initiative "On Angels Wings" is to bring relief to those experiencing hardship in this community through affordable day care,” Morales said. The day care center is giving out five infant scholarships, which would reduce tuition to $100 a week. The other 15 scholarships will go towards children 18 months and older for full-time care, and would reduce their cost to $90 per week.

“As a Christian, I know it is my responsibility to be there when there is great need and at this time I have been blessed as the owner of Little Angels Playhouse to be in a position of bringing hope to the individuals hurting within the community,” said Morales.

Because her family was so blessed, she feels it is only fair to give to others. Among her concerns, she said she is worried about children being left at home alone because a family can’t afford day care.

“The whole idea behind Little Angel’s Playhouse was for us to be a beacon of hope to the children and the entire family unit. I always felt that the love for children that I have was born from God’s heart. It comes from God. From the beginning, my only goal for founding the Little Angels Playhouse was to bless families with excellent care, where families can feel safe and loved,” said Morales.
