Chamber to Host 2nd Annual Health Fair

Chamber Health Fair: Free Admission/Free Screenings/Free to The Public!

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Chamber’s 2nd Annual Health Fair will be held in Town Center at Six Pines & Lake Robbins Drive on Saturday, October 25, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There will be no charge for admission, and the Fair will be open to the public.

The purpose of this Health Fair is to both raise awareness within the community about available health providers and services and to provide an opportunity for the public to receive free screenings and gather the latest information about health and preventative care programs.

Some of the screenings and services to be offered include cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, BMI, vision, knee, shoulder and scoliosis screenings, and cognitive skills training. There will be therapeutic exercise demonstrations on a Nintendo Wii, a free pulmonary function test (normally $50), and simulated drunk driving with fatal vision goggles.

Come tour the Pediatric Topper Ambulance and have your child photographed and finger-printed through the Crime Stopper Program!

Olympic Medalist Laura Wilkinson will be on hand to sign autographs and promote her foundation’s effort to build a new swim facility in the area.

Flu Shots
Flu shots will be offered for a small fee. Flu Shots are $25.00 Cash or Check Only. You must be 12 years of age and up to receive a flu shot. All participants under 18 must have a parent present. Medicare and Texas Health Spring patients must present their insurance cards to receive the vaccination at no out-of-pocket cost.

K STAR Country Radio 99.7 FM will be onsite the day of the event with live announcements, and Meador Staffing Services will have its hot air balloon with a “Catch the Moment” photo opportunity!
