THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- What was supposed to be a gathering of a few hundred turned into over 7,000 protestors on Wednesday evening at Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park. The strong turnout was for a Tax Day Tea Party, part of a national grassroots movement in protest of higher taxes, pork barrel spending and government bailouts.

The peaceful protest featured music, food, and parades of protest signs. Men, women and children of all ages filled Rob Fleming Park as politicians, residents and local business owners addresssed the crowd. Speakers voiced frustration with the growing national debt, federal bailouts and failed leadership in Washington.
