Woodlands Parkway Expansion

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- A third lane being added to Woodlands Parkway on both Eastbound and Westbound sides from East Panther Creek to Kuykendahl will be finished by the first half of 2010.

"I think they have to do something to ease the congestion," Woodlands resident Martha Priest said.

Having the extra lane on each side will lighten the flow of traffic.

"It will enhance mobility," Susan Vreeland-Wendt, Director of marketing of The Woodlands said. "We need bigger roadways to keep up with the population growth."

Most people complain that the evenings are most difficult to drive.

"It is a good thing because in the evening it is hard on the way home [from work]," Woodlands resident Galen Neill said.

There will be some frequent lane closures, but it should not cause an immense amount of traffic.
