Casino Night to benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Will you place a bet for me? I’m too young to gamble, but I’m gambling that your support will find a cure for my leukemia. At just 23 months of age, Maya Cid was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). ALL is a type of blood cancer that starts with a change to a single cell in the bone marrow. It is the most common type of leukemia in children under age 15. At the present time there is no known way to prevent the disease.

To improve the odds of finding a cure for Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, a Casino Night to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, will be held on Saturday, August 15, at The Ultimate Place, located at 301 Well Fargo Drive, in Suite C-6. The casino doors will open at 7 p.m.; the tables will begin at 7:30, and prizes will be awarded at the end of the evening at 11 p.m. Price per person is $30 in advance; $45 at the door. Maya hopes your odds will be better at the gambling tables than leukemia has been facing.
