THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Calling all non-profit organizations! The Junior League of North Harris and South Montgomery Counties, Inc. (JLNHSMC) wants to help you, and is accepting applications for its spring “Here to Help” project.
The Here to Help community program enables the League to partner with two to three local non-profits or schools in its service area completing a valuable project while creating a living legacy for the Junior League and a reminder of how the League positively impacts the community.
According to Shannon Mills, President of the JLNHSMC, “Junior League volunteers are looking forward to completing a valuable project for a selected non-profit organization or school, impacting the lives of women, children and families in our community. These projects are critical to meeting the non-profits ability to serve the community”.
Additional information and applications can be found on the JLNHSMC’s Web site, under the community page. Applications must be received by Tuesday, December 1, 2009.
The JLNHSMC is also accepting applicants for the Community Assistance/Emergency Relief Fund. The 2010 Community Assistance Fund requests must be submitted by April 1, 2010. Selected organizations will be notified and then funds will be awarded on May 18, 2010. Emergency Relief Fund requests may be submitted any time during the year.
