Community Associations Announce Holiday Decorating Contest

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Decorate your home for the holidays and join in the fun for the annual Holiday Lighting and Decorating Contest. There are no registration or entry requirements; simply display your lights and/or decorations every night, Dec. 3 - 9, and you’re automatically entered.

All homes and neighborhoods served by The Woodlands Community Association and The Woodlands Association, and represented by a village association, are eligible.

There are two categories to be judged in each village, Best Home and Best Neighborhood. A neighborhood is generally defined as a few homes located in close proximity, or an entire cul-de-sac or subdivision. Members of each village association will serve as contest judges. Selection of winners is left to the sole discretion of the judges.

Prizes are scheduled to be awarded on Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Prizes include a yard sign and plaque for Best Home, and a yard sign and complimentary skate passes to The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center, for Best Neighborhood, compliments of The Woodlands Township.
