Buy Recycled Boutique Returns
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Offering consumers an eco-friendly shopping experience, the Buy Recycled Boutique returns to the Village Holiday Carnival in Alden Bridge Shopping Center on Saturday, December 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A joint project of the Community Associations of The Woodlands and The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N., the Boutique opens twice a year to introduce shoppers to the quality and value of products made from recycled materials. The unique collection of items made from glass, plastic, paper and metal are selected from the studios of artisans and small manufacturers with a preference for American made, non-profit and fair trade.
“Every product has a story," explained Lynne Aldrich, manager of the Environmental Services Department for the Community Associations.
New this year, the Boutique offers kid-powered toys that are BPA and phthalate free. Made in the United States from recycled milk jugs, the line of trucks, tea sets and jump ropes delights kids and meets high safety standards.
