THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Woodlands Online is proud to announce the launching of "Best of The Woodlands 2010." This is the first year of "Best of The Woodlands," and Woodlands Online is excited to accentuate the positive businesses that make our community so unique.
"Best of The Woodlands" is a friendly competition between local businesses where residents have the opportunity to vote for their favorite businesses in a variety of categories. Along with voting, they can also leave positive comments about the businesses of their choosing. At the conclusion of voting, the winner and runner-up of each category will be announced on the site and receive plaques for their accomplishment. In addition, Woodlands Online will add a logo to their business directory page along with the comments, giving these businesses the opportunity to shine for the entire year.
"We are beyond excited to start the 'Best of The Woodlands' program this year," Chris Elmi, editor, said. "'Best of The Woodlands' highlights everything that makes our community such a fantastic place to live. There is no where in the world like The Woodlands, and this is the community's opportunity to thank the businesses and organizations who help make it that way."
This is a special event on Woodlands Online because it gives residents a chance to honor those businesses that make living here so special to them. Not only can you vote, but you can also tell the community why you voted, whether it be for outstanding food, above par customer service, or anything that makes a particular business stand out in your head.
"Woodlands Online is committed to giving the community a voice and a place where local information is always available to them," Jessica Fraser, director of communications, said. "Voting for your favorite business is a great way to put the power exactly where it belongs - in the community's hands. And the best part is, it is a positive, uplifting event that reminds everyone how important it is to appreciate those working around us to keep The Woodlands unparalleled."
For residents of the community, voting only requires registration on the site, which is free. Once registered, voting is open. Voting will continue through the month of February and each registered member can submit their vote once. Voters have the option of voting in a few categories or all of them, and may finish their ballot anytime, 24/7, throughout the month. Enjoy voting in this year's "Best of The Woodlands"!
