New Tapas bar Opens
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- 1252 Tapas Bar opened its doors Wednesday, March 10, at Market Street in the North Commons next to Sunglass Hut. The new restaurant features a wide variety of cold and warm spanish cuisine, from olives and cheese to puntillitas (fried baby squid) and chorizo .
The restaurant gets its name from the year (1252) King Alfonso X of Castile and Leon was crowned. According to legend King Alfonso, known as The Wise One (El Sabio), was the inventor of tapas.
Guests may choose to sit at the bar, a table inside or outdoors on the covered patio. The new restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, Monday-Sunday.
