Event Offers Support During ‘Changing World’

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Whether it’s the impact of the economy on your career or the impact of day-to-day life on your relationships, life can become overwhelming. That’s why the counselors at Lone Star College-Montgomery want to reach out, connect with community, and offer support through a free workshop entitled “Thriving in a Changing World.”

On Tuesday, April 20, from 1-4 p.m., at Lone Star College-University Center, the counselors will present sessions that highlight how to overcome and find strength in life’s difficult situations. Session topics include: “Surviving the Stressors of Today’s Economy,” “Transitional Issues with our Recently Returning Military Veterans,” “The Impact of Change on Children and Adolescents,” “Developing a Winning Attitude,” “Financial Transitions,” “Changing Careers,” and “Life in Balance.”

Throughout the year, LSC-Montgomery counselors have held activities that connect themselves to the students, staff, and faculty on the campus. This workshop, said organizers, provides the opportunity to make connections with the community and offer support to them.

Community members, as well as students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend. Registration for the free workshop can be completed online at the link below. Space may be limited.

For more information about the workshop, contact Matthew Samford.
