THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Thanks to The Woodlands Dog Park Club, the Riva Row Boat House, a Township kayak rental facility located at 2101 Riva Row, now offers canine life vests so that kayakers may bring their dogs along for the ride.
The Woodlands Dog Park club recently made a generous donation of 12 Outward Hound vests to the Riva Row Boat House. The club, an advocate for dogs and their owners in The Woodlands, actively promotes better and healthier lives for the pets in our community.
“All of our activities through our organization encourage pet safety,” stated Jay Kirsch, a member of the club and owner of Barker Street Gourmet Dog Bakery and Boutique. “The club thought this was a great opportunity to get owners and their pets out to the water and enjoy it safely.”
“Dog life vests are a wonderful addition to our Boat House,” said Chris Nunes, director of parks and recreation for The Woodlands Township. “Now, both our two- and four-legged residents can enjoy the kayaks and beautiful Lake Woodlands, in addition to our pathways and parks.”
