Police blotter Oct. 4 - 7, 2011

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office reported the following incidents between Oct. 4 and 7, 2011:

Oct. 4


Deputy Herman responded to a suspicious person call on Golden Road. Deputy Herman found the suspect, a 38-year-old man from Conroe, sitting in a vehicle, and after completing his investigation, arrested the man without incident and took him to Montgomery County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana.

Deputy Prince assisted Deputy Miller in a traffic stop for a vehicle speeding on Woodlands Parkway. During the course of the traffic stop, the suspect, a 35-year-old woman from Tomball, was found to be intoxicated. Officers arrested her on charges of driving while intoxicated (3rd or more), and took her to Montgomery County Jail.

Deputy Evans arrested a 51-year-old woman from The Woodlands, on charges of criminal trespass after she returned to a residence where she had been evicted.

Deputy Eisenmenger arrested a 29-year-old man from Shenandoah after a traffic stop on Six Pines and Research Forest. The man had a suspended license and this was his second offense, according to the MCSO.

Oct. 5

Deputy Houstoun responded to a shoplifter in custody call at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspects, two 19-year-old women and a 40-year-old woman, all from Willis, are accused of trying to take $76.96 worth of merchandise from Sears. Officers arrested the women and took them to Montgomery County Jail.

Oct. 6

Deputy Cantu responded to a shoplifter in custody call at 3040 College Park Drive. A 19-year-old woman from The Woodlands is accused of trying to take $230.39 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. Officers arrested the woman and took them to Montgomery County Jail.

Deputy Prince assisted Deputy Ortiz with a suspicious vehicle call on Glen Loch at Tanglebrush. The driver, a 20-year-old man from The Woodlands was found passed out in the front seat. Officers found he was highly intoxicated, and was subsequently arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Oct. 7

Deputy Schutzenhofer was dispatched to a hair salon on Lake Woodlands Drive. Upon arrival, Deputy Schutzenhofer found that the suspect, a 29-year-old woman from Montgomery, tried leave without paying for a haircut. During the scuffle with the manager, the woman took the manager’s phone and threw it on the ground, breaking it. Officers arrested the woman on charges of theft of service and interference of a 9-1-1 call.

Deputy Weatherford responded to 1201 Lake Woodlands in reference to a dog locked in a car with the windows rolled up and no food or water. Officers found the owner, a 21-year-old woman from Missouri City, a short while later and told her the dog was in the car for aboutan hour. Deputy Weatherford contacted the District Attorney’s Office and charges were accepted for cruelty to non-livestock animals. The officers took her to Montgomery County Jail without incident.
