Montgomery County Crime Stoppers honored with productivity awards

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandy Bice and four members of the Montgomery County Crime Stoppers Board traveled to McAllen, TX on October 25, 2011 for the 23rd Annual Texas Crime Stoppers Convention. As the Crime Stoppers Coordinator, Dep. Bice was presented the award for the Greatest Dollar Recovery and the Most Cases Cleared for 2010.

This is the first time in the County's 30 year involvement with Crime Stoppers that this award has been won. Dep. Bice was also personally recognized as one of only 4 law enforcement officers selected for consideration as the Crime Stoppers Coordinator of the Year.

Dep. Bice brings great credit upon herself, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the State of Texas through her tireless efforts to ensure the removal of dangerous felons from our streets. This is a direct reflection of Dep. Bice's personal dedication to duty. Her actions in promoting Crime Stoppers through the board, personal appearances, and multiple media outlets have proven invaluable to Montgomery County.

Montgomery County Crime Stoppers is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to help keep Montgomery County a safe place to live, work, and play.Their mission is to work with area law enforcement agencies, the news media, and members of the public to publicize and gain intelligence on felony crimes occurring in Montgomery County and to assist in the apprehension of felony fugitives, wanted or residing in Montgomery County.
