Friends and family to honor missing SHSU student on his birthday

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- T.J. Murray, the Sam Houston State University student who went missing on Oct. 19, will turn 24 on Wednesday night and his famly and friends will gather to honor him at Papa's Ice House on Pruitt Road at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening.

On Oct. 19, Murray was bar hopping with friends on Sawdust Road. The truck he was driving was left in the parking lot and his cell phone was found in a nearby ditch. He has not been heard from since.

The family is offering a $5,000 dollar reward for information leading to his return.

Texas Equusearch stopped looking for Murray earlier this month and officials with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said they have no leads.
