Children's museum hosts Biggest Loser Couple
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Children's Museum recently hosted Phil and Amy Parham, who have appeared on the NBC TV show, "The Biggest Loser", as part of the the Museum's "Get Fit" month.
The Museum is part of First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" initiative against childhood obesity and is offering a variety of programs this month for parents and their children to enjoy. The Museum will host Stay Fit programs on Feb. 14 with Heart Day, Feb. 15 and 24 with Prefit & Little Fit Wellness, Feb. 16 with Mommy & Me/Daddy & Daughter Dancing, Feb 20 with Fun with Food, Feb. 21 with mommy & Me Zumba and Feb. 22 with Dance with Me fun. Feb. 17 the ever-popular Nutriman will be on hand for creative and fun learning about food choices.
"We are proud to be the community site for We Can! as well as a part of Museums on the Move and Good to Grow healthy initiatives," said Angela Colton, executive director for The Woodlands Children's Museum. "We hope families will turn out for our exciting "Get Fit" classes this month like Mommy & Me Zumba and Nutriman."
The Woodlands Children's Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency dedicated to creating opportunities that educate, empower, and excite children and their families through play while inspiring a life-long sense of wonder.
