THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The work of Lone Star College-Montgomery art professor John Adelman has made its way to the West Coast.

Logical Conclusions, a 27-piece exhibit featuring select pieces of Adelman’s works from 2005-2012, is currently on display at Diane Rosenstein Fine Art, a high-class gallery in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“The crowd at the opening reception was overawed by my work,” said Adelman, referring especially to a 12-foot long drawing of a dismantled shrub created in more than 76,000 tracings. “They were very contemplative and deliberate, and occasionally grilled me with questions.”

Adelman was recently recognized as a finalist for the Hunting Art Prize, the largest art award in the Western world. He teaches art appreciation and drawing classes at LSC-Montgomery and will be featured in LSC-Montgomery’s Faculty Art Exhibit, on display in the Mary Matteson-Parrish Art Gallery (Building D) October 1-30.
