Unmasking Breast Cancer Gala receives $13,000 custom jewelry donation from Shannon Fine Jewelry
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Four and a half years ago, Shannon Fine Jewelry’s Deborah Lundin, didn’t know how to respond when she was given her cancer diagnosis. “Shock…I didn’t think this could happen to me; I didn’t know what was next or who to turn to,” says Lundin. Today, Deborah lives cancer free and is surviving, thriving and giving back as her token to women going through breast cancer and encouraging them that there is hope.
Lundin, along with Shannon Fine Jewelry partner Tracy Hopkins, have donated a stunning custom designed diamond and emerald ring and necklace ensemble (valued at over $13,000.00) on behalf of Shannon Fine Jewelry to The Breast Cancer Charities of America’s 3rd Annual Unmasking Breast Cancer Masquerade Gala. The Gala will be hosted on October 26, 2012 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. The pieces will be a central focus of the evenings live auction and fundraising efforts to support BCCA’s primary program service, the Help Now Fund (an emergency financial assistance program that helps with rent and utilities of those who are going through breast cancer).
“Women like Debbie are shining examples of the survivors that are out there from cancer,” says Erica Tullis, Executive Director of The Breast Cancer Charities of America. “When Shannon Fine Jewelry approached us about this custom piece and making a statement towards the fight against breast cancer, they took our breath away…not only are they survivors, but they’re helping the next person in need through their donation to BCCA. For that, we are grateful.”
