Elaine Turner opens fifth store deep in the heart of Texas

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The slogan “What happens here, stays here,” could have been created by Texas designer, Elaine Turner, whose merchandise line consists of products sourced from the great state of Texas. At the open house of her newest and fifth location at Market Street in The Woodlands, on Wednesday, December 12 she showcased her Texas line.

“We’re proud of our Texas DNA,” said Turner. “We have an unbelievable amount of talent right here in the state.” The event featured a disc jockey, photo booth, and refreshments served by Hubbell and Hudson, but the merchandise rivaled Turner herself, as being the star of the show. The designer’s line of fashion accessories includes handbags and clutches, many that can accommodate technology devices, and footware like evening sandals, platforms, and boots. Jewelry is among her newest offerings.

“What differentiates our fashion accessories from other designer lines…the fusion of texture and color at great price points,” said Claire Malden, a member of the store’s fashion consultant team.

Turner echoed these comments by stating, “The texture and color, how it’s put together with custom-detailing; the underlying aspect is glamour.”

After graduating from the University of Texas, Turner designed apparel for a New York brand, but launched her own line in the year 2000, with her husband, Jim. The Market Street boutique is the fifth Elaine Turner store; the flagship and corporate headquarters are located in Rice Village at 2439 University Blvd. in southwest Houston. The third Houston location is in CityCentre at 800 Town & Country Blvd. in the Memorial Area. A fourth store is located at Alamo Heights in San Antonio, and the only store located outside of Texas is in Nashville, Tennessee.

Turner said another store will be opening soon in New York City. “We want to stay true to our Texas roots. Like the Nashville store, our New York location will carry the same line of merchandise as our three Texas stores.”

The Elaine Turner line with its rich detailing and regal look is aptly marked with the signature crown logo.

“I selected a crown for the logo because I wanted every woman to feel like a queen when wearing the Elaine Turner brand,” said Turner.
