Cycles TX comes to The Woodlands Town Center

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC) a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Howard Hughes Corporation today announced that Cycles TX will open its first bicycle and accessories store in Texas in The Waterway Square District in The Woodlands Town Center. Construction of Cycles TX, to be located at 1501 Lake Robbins Drive in The Waterway Square parking garage, will begin in one to three weeks with completion expected within two to three months.

“We are pleased that Cycles TX is coming to The Woodlands. Cycles TX is a perfect partnership for our community,” said Alex Sutton, Co-President of TWDC. “The Woodlands is home to nearly 200 miles of hike and bike trails. In 2011, The Woodlands Township was awarded the Bronze level designation as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists.”

Cycles TX will be a Giant brand dealer and will carry bicycles for children and entry level through top-of-the-line bikes for elite athletes. Other bicycle brands that will be carried include BMC, Nirve, Niner, Look, Colnago, Pinarello, Surley and electric bikes. Cycles TX will also feature high quality industry sportswear and footwear complemented by a wide range of helmets from top brands, eyeglasses, tires, accessories and specific tools for this sport. There will be a professional service area for multi-brand cycles. Equipment for triathlon athletes and runners will also be carried.

Owner and Chief Executive Officer Baltazar Vilchis and Chief Operating Officer Bernardo Davids are residents of The Woodlands. “We live in The Woodlands, and we want to share our passion and love for the sport with everyone,” said Davids. “We want people to know the wide range of benefits available with cycling--better health, less pollution, alternative transportation, convenience and savings. Additionally, it is very fun to cycle with family and friends. Everybody will have a special place in our store. “
