He also leads the Roadrunners with four homeruns. Belton has also seen a little bit of time on the mound so far Angelina this season. He is a business major.

Thompson is a sophomore for the Roadrunners. He is a Petroleum Engineering major. He was a second-team all-district selection in 2011 and All-Houston Team Honorable Mention (2011) while pitching at Klein Oak High School.

Both players come highly regarded by coach Jeff Livin of the Roadrunners.

“When I spoke with coach Livin, he was complimentary of these players,” assistant general manager Lance Drake said. “He said these guys are two great individuals that would be able to come in and help our team succeed.”

The Strykers are looking for five more Host Families for the 2013 season.

“Our Host Families are very important to our success,” Drake said. “They enable our guys to live in a family environment throughout the season and make our guys feel at home as well. The basic requirements are a room, bathroom, and a way to enter the house such as a key.”
