Volunteer attorneys answer legal questions every Monday

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Local volunteer attorneys answer the phones at 281-645-6344 on the first Monday of every month from 5-8 pm to answer legal questions and provide resources to Montgomery County residents. The local Woodlands Bar Association provides this free service in conjunction with the Montgomery County United Way.

“Each month Law Line receives a wide variety of questions on topics ranging from divorce to landlord-tenant issues to probate and social security issues,” says Pattie Chapman, committee member for the Woodlands Bar Association. “The volunteers are able to listen to the caller’s problem and direct the caller to appropriate resources,” continues Chapman, “The United Way provides the telephones & place, and the Woodlands Bar Association provides the volunteers, free of charge to callers from Montgomery County.”

The Woodlands Bar Association is comprised of private practice attorneys from both large and small law firms, judges and corporate attorneys and seeks to promote high legal standards, education and community service in the area.
