THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Strykers are pleased announce the release of the 2014 Texas Collegiate League schedule. This year will mark the eleventh season in TCL history, as well as the Strykers’ third season as the league’s most recent member. The league will maintain its 60-game schedule with all six teams returning for the 2014 campaign.

The TCL league lineup will include the Brazos Valley Bombers, Victoria Generals, Acadiana Cane Cutters, Texas Marshals, East Texas Pumpjacks and of course your Woodlands Strykers, all of which will be vying for the 2014 TCL title.

The Strykers season will open with a four-game home stand at The Woodlands Christian Academy on Thursday night, May 29th 2014 at 7:05 pm, against the 2010 TCL champion, Victoria Generals. The Strykers will then proceed to play the defending TCL champion Brazos Valley Bombers before leaving on a two game road trip to play the East Texas Pumpjacks.

As seen in previous years, the TCL will once again implement a 60-game schedule, divided into two 30 game halves, with the first-place and second-place teams of each half clinching playoff berths for the TCL postseason.

Throughout the month of June the Strykers will host 14 home games against the Texas Marshals, East Texas Pump Jacks, Brazos Valley Bombers as well as the Acadiana Cane Cutters. The Strykers will close out the month of June with a two game home stand against the Acadiana Cane Cutters before leaving for Bryan to play the Brazos Valley Bombers in early July.

The Strykers will then return to The Woodlands Christian Academy to host a four game series against the East Texas Pump Jacks and the Cane Cutters of Acadiana. The four game home stand will include a 4th of July game in which the Strykers will be celebrating Independence Day with friends, family and fans alike.

The TCL season will then break for the 2014 All-Star game in which the league’s top players will meet on Tuesday, July 8th. The TCL event will come a week before its major league counterpart, with the site yet to be determined. The All-Star Game was played at historic Driller Park in East Texas in 2013 with the Victoria Generals playing host in 2012.

The TCL regular season concludes on Friday, August 8th 2014 as the Strykers finish up their 2014 campaign against the Victoria Generals. The 2014 TCL Postseason is scheduled for August 9-12th.
