Celebrate Teachers! nominations begin in March

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- For the second year, The Woodlands Mall hosts Celebrate Teachers!, a campaign designed to recognize outstanding educators in the community. Beginning Thursday, March 13 through Monday, March 24, individuals are invited to visit The Woodlands Mall’s Facebook page and nominate a top-performing teacher.

Voting will take place on Facebook from Thursday, April 10 through Tuesday, April 22. The teacher with the most votes will receive a $500 mall gift card on National Teacher’s Day, Tuesday, May 6.

“Celebrate Teachers! is all about saying thanks to teachers who make a difference,” says Noemi Cortez, marketing manager at The Woodlands Mall. “Last year, the nominated teachers were amazing, ranging from teachers in pre-k to high-school classrooms. Each one was different and each one was unique. I hope that everyone will take the time to nominate that special teacher this year.”

Teachers can be nominated Thursday, March 13 through Monday, March 24. Anyone 13 or older can nominate a teacher who is a part-time or full-time, state-licensed teacher who works in a pre-k to 12th grade nonprofit school (public or private). The school must be located within 75 miles of The Woodlands Mall.

To nominate a teacher, the following information will be required: name of teacher; subject taught; name of school and town where school is located; and email address for the teacher. Additionally, the nomination must include a 100-word or fewer description of why this person is a top-notch teacher.
