THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Thirteen talented local artists have joined together to raise awareness and funds for Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity’s 25th Anniversary Gala, set for Saturday, May 10, 2014 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. In keeping with the theme of the gala, “There’s No Place Like Home,” the artists are creating works that visually portray their idea of, “What does HOME mean to you?” The pieces will be auctioned off at the upcoming gala.

Virtual Art Project “Parade” Available Online

“Everyone will be amazed by the emotions and memories portrayed by these artists in their original works,” said gala co-chair Suzanne Pagel. “We encourage everyone to follow us on Facebook, www.facebook.com/hfhgala, as we post our virtual Art Project ‘parade’. Each week, we will feature one artist and their beautiful Habitat for Humanity art piece.”

Participating artists include Kim Abbati, Suzie Baker, Bill Brenza, Sue Burke Harrington, Hilda Rueda Lockley, Abby Salazar, Carol Scheferman, Lois Schmeichel, Shae Skidmore, Shirley Scarpetta Skidmore, Sue Syvertson, Kim Wallace and Joella Wheeler.
