MONTGOMERY, TX -- Aedan Lewis made waves at the 3rd annual Florida vs Alabama March Madness Showcase hosted by Panhandle Prospects. The event was held at Pine Forest High School (Pensacola, Fl.) showcasing top-tier basketball talent from both states, featuring a dunk contest judged by former NBA and Big3 League professional player Reggie Evans and local youth program organizer LD Clardy.

Despite being a last-minute, welcomed addition to Team Alabama, Lewis's roots run deep in both states. Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, he also has strong family ties to Beatrice, Alabama. Relocating due to his parents' military service, Lewis remained connected to his origins through basketball, playing for Southern Youth Sports Association and PT2024 AAU team under the mentorship of Coach Brian Stallworth.

Lewis's performance on the court was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing his trademark athleticism while seamlessly integrating with his teammates. With an impressive stat line of 20 points, 3 steals, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, he left an indelible mark on the game. Coach Fletcher Carlisle recalls the game. “Wish we had more time together. (Aedan) is mature for his age, personable and coachable. Wherever he ends up (in college), they are getting a DAWG!”

Reflecting on his experience, Lewis expressed gratitude for the opportunity to return to his roots stating, 'It felt good to be back where it all started. I'm grateful for every second I get to play.' Aedan experienced a major setback during his sophomore and junior season and worked hard to return to the game better. He recently capped off his senior year by leading Lake Creek High School to its first-ever District Championship, earning accolades such as the Texas UIL All-Region, District MVP, and First Team All-District awards along the way.
