THE WOODLANDS, TX – The weather is matching the mood for many, what with it being the deadline day to file taxes for many; grey and overcast. A high humidity factor and gusting winds will make things feel muggy as the thermostat crawls up to 82 (84 with the heat index worked in) for the afternoon high. It should remain dry through the dreariness, though. We’ll barely make it down to 70 for our overnight low.

Sadly, Tax Day Monday is the brightest day this week

Tuesday will continue to be filled horizon to horizon with grey clouds, and this time they should dump some showers on us throughout the morning. With the heat index, we may actually get all the way up to 90 degrees for the afternoon high, taking the heat index into consideration; that near-total humidity will definitely not be our friend today. By the time midnight hits, we might still be at 80 degrees, so it might be time to dust off the home air conditioning units.

For the most part, Wednesday and Thursday will remain cloudy but relatively dry, with highs in the mid to upper 80s – compounded by the humidity – and lows in the low 70s or upper 60s. The main difference will be that Thursday will be much breezier than the day before.

As Friday hits, you can expect isolated thunderstorms throughout the entire day. The high will reach up to 88 – our highest ‘dry’ temperature yet – as the sun strives to peek through the clouds. Once the sporadic storms are done, the humidity will plummet, giving us a relatively clear overnight with a low of about 68.

As weekend approaches, you may want to make indoor plans, as it seems like the rains will just be beginning…

Stay tuned to Woodlands Online for our Weekend Weather report coming on Friday.
