THE WOODLANDS, TX – Dan Crenshaw, whose congressional district covers The Woodlands, released the following statement today:

State and local officials are working to identify damages and immediate resource needs related to the storm and flooding damage that occurred across Harris and Montgomery County over the past weekend. To assist with the damage assessment, please self-report damage to homes, businesses, and agriculture using the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT), which can be accessed through damage.tdem.texas.gov. The information provided through iSTAT helps officials identify immediate resource needs and aids in determining eligibility for disaster assistance.

Also, if you have insurance and you have experienced flooding or other storm related damage, be sure to file a claim with your insurance company. Anyone with damage, even if you have insurance, still needs to file a report with iSTAT.

As we learn more about the overall impacts of the storms, my office will be here to assist with information and if eligible, federal agency assistance. Please stay safe and be well.

Sincerely,

Dan Crenshaw
Member of Congress
