Lake Conroe Temporary Closure: May 17, 2024 at 3:00pm

CONROE, TX -- The San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) and Montgomery County Constable Precinct 1 announce that Lake Conroe will be temporarily closed at 5:00pm due to high lake levels, the possibility of submerged objects, floating debris, and other hazards that could pose safety risks.

Lake Conroe

Lake Conroe is currently at 202.86 feet (conservation pool is 201 feet). Current outflow from Lake Conroe is 10,875 cubic feet per second (cfs).

The dam continues to pass through storm water and runoff received in the Upper San Jacinto River Basin until Lake Conroe returns to conservation pool level.

Monitor real-time information on Lake Conroe at www.sjra.net. We will continue to monitor rain and runoff in the area. We are in coordination with the City of Houston, Coastal Water Authority, and Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Lake Houston

Lake Houston is managed by the Coastal Water Authority. Lake Houston levels may be monitored by visiting www.coastalwaterauthority.org.
