THE WOODLANDS, TX – Recently, an innovative, science-based student learning facility opened its doors at its new location and celebrated its ribbon-cutting ceremony. iCode The Woodlands, a STEM-centric education lab that provides hands-on classes in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics all year round, marked its move from its former digs at Market Street to 4526 Research Forest Drive, Suite 125, in The Woodlands.

Research Forest just got a little bit smarter

The commemoration included a welcome from owner Charu Duggal, tours of the cutting-edge facilities, a buffet line, and ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce.

With school breaking for the summer, this is the perfect time to enrol science-minded children in iCode’s classes and summer camps that feature educational classes and practical instruction in coding, robotics, gaming, and artificial intelligence for curious young minds.

“We make STEM education fun,” said Duggal. “Our instructor-led, hands-on classes and camps utilize gamified learning techniques to keep students engaged and excited to learn. Our curriculum team also ensures that our lessons continuously evolve with technology, ensuring your student receives a best-in-class education. Moreover, kids and teens love our exciting classroom environment, which includes the latest hardware such as gaming computers, 3D printers, robotics, and even drones.”

The instructors at iCode balance instruction time with hands-on activities that reinforce each new concept in a continuously evolving proprietary curriculum to include the latest technologies and advances.

“We utilize gamified learning to engage children and teach them advanced concepts often taught at the college level,” said Duggal. “In addition to technical skills, our curriculum also weaves in vital soft skills such as collaboration, public speaking, critical thinking, and project management to help build their confidence and prepare them for their futures.”

From creative coding to autonomous agents and everything in between, iCode prepares learners to build, and to build alongside AI. In iCode’s after-school program, students progress in a ‘Belt Program’ akin to martial arts belts in a comprehensive course that provides experience with a variety of STEM topics. Half- and full-day summer camp classes last all summer long, hand in hand with camps and classes for all school holiday breaks.

Further, iCode’s curriculum can be used to earn Girl Scout STEM badges in Robotics, Coding Basics, Cybersecurity Basics, App Development, and Engineering. And for those students who are homeschooled, iCode allows parents to utilize its fully-equipped hubs for homeschool group classes, whether they bring their own instructor or borrow one of iCode’s knowledgeable team members.
