The Woodlands Township announces change in operational hours due to impending inclement weather
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township offices including Town Hall and Recreational Centers closed at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in anticipation of the forecast of icy road conditions predicted through the night and into Friday morning, February 4, 2022.
Township offices and facilities are expected to re-open on a delayed start at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022. This opening time is subject to change depending upon the actual weather conditions at 9 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2022. Updates will be posted on the Township website at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov and through Social Media channels.
The Woodlands Fire Department is fully staffed and prepared in case of emergencies.
Please note, both Boat Houses will remain closed on Friday, February 4, 2022. Please visit www.rivarowboathouse.com for Boat House updates.
Waste Management Service Disruption
Waste Management solid waste services may be delayed on Friday, February 4, 2022. Waste Management will complete remaining routes on Saturday, February 5, 2022, if necessary. Please leave your carts at the curb until service has occurred. If your carts have not been serviced within 24 hours of the end of your regular service day, please notify Waste Management at 800-800-5804 or email cssatex@wm.com.
The Woodlands Recycling Center, located at 5402 Research Forest Dr., is expected to be open on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. unless weather conditions change.
Township Transit
The Woodlands Express service is cancelled for Friday, February 4, 2022. The Town Center Trolley Service is suspended due to anticipated hazardous weather conditions. Trolley services are expected to resume at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022.

Weather Update for Montgomery County
Status Update from the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management
MONTGOMERY COUNTY – A Winter Weather Advisory has now been issued for Montgomery County starting at 2 PM Thursday. A light freezing rain and sleet mix is possible as the front moves in tomorrow evening.
Later Thursday evening, after temperatures have dropped below freezing, ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are possible. This could cause slippery road conditions along elevated roads, bridges and overpasses overnight Thursday and into Friday morning.
We would like to remind our citizens to only call 911 in the event of an emergency. The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will continue to monitor this situation and our next update will be on Thursday.
