HOUSTON, TX -- The Lone Star College System Winter Mini-mester is the perfect choice for anyone looking to jump-start their college journey, take a class or two while home from university, or earn final credit hours toward an associate degree or certification. The Winter Mini-mester begins Dec. 16 and ends Jan. 12.
“Lone Star College System offers year-round and comprehensive academic opportunities like the Winter Mini-mester, meeting students where they are and setting them on the path toward success,” said Laura Bettencourt, Ed.D., LSC-Online interim president. “Students are encouraged to register as soon as possible to ensure they get the courses that fit their busy schedules.”
The LSCS Winter Mini-mester provides students with an accelerated option to complete their core requirements toward a degree or be core complete before transferring to a four-year college or university. General offerings include accounting, anthropology, arts, biology, business, chemistry, criminal justice, communications, economics, drama, government, EDUC 1300, English, foreign languages, health care programs, history, humanities, math, speech and various workforce programs.
