THE WOODLANDS, TX – It can’t be denied that Mother’s Day is one of the most popular holidays in the U.S. – tied for fourth place with Veterans Day after (in order) Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, and Christmas (and with Father’s Day a distant fifth) – with approximately 122 million phone calls made, the third highest selling holiday for flowers and plants with about one-quarter of all the flowers purchased throughout the year, approximately 152 million cards sent, and last year a whopping $35 billion spent.

Some things to do and places to go, for moms and not-mons alike

As impressive as those numbers are, not everyone does or can celebrate Mother’s Day. Even with 48 percent of all Americans planning on dining out this Mother’s Day at restaurants, there are still some alternatives for those who treat this Sunday just like any other. In fact, we have some ideas for places to go and things to do whether you’re a mom or not.
