College Center Fall Presentations 2024

More than 1,300 players and parents have attended HTX Soccer’s College Center presentations in the last month, as families prepare for the college recruitment and selection process. These educational sessions have been offered to HTX members across the Greater Houston area to help prospective student-athletes navigate their way through the entire college recruitment process with assistance from SportsRecruits, the club's online recruitment platform. The HTX Soccer College Center is brought to you by Northwest Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

All U13-U18 players and families have FREE access to the program and will be working individually and collectively to showcase their skills and individual profiles to the thousands of schools currently sponsoring men’s and women’s college soccer programs across the country. Through SportsRecruits, dedicated HTX staff help players identify their ideal schools based on factors such as size, location, areas of study, and more to find the perfect fit for their individual needs. Since implementing the College Center in 2006, the club has placed over 700 players onto college rosters, and continues to be the leading club in Houston for college recruitment.

"The club has a responsibility to provide our players the required educational platforms to help understand the recruitment process and ultimately have the opportunity of attaining a degree and extending their soccer playing careers in college," said Simon Boddison, Director of Soccer Operations | College Center Director. "Providing player scholarships and being placed on to college rosters is a very big part of the club's DNA. Partnering with SportsRecruits, along with adding two new staff members within the program, continues to elevate the club's commitment to our current student-athletes and their families. We're very proud to be the #1 club in Houston when it comes to college placement and player development."
