When you attend the Texas Fine Craft Show, you’re not only supporting the talented artists and their work, but you are also contributing to arts education and community enrichment programs in The Woodlands and Montgomery County.
$1.5 Million in impact and 20 years of giving back to our community!
How does The Woodlands Arts Council Make Art Matter?
The Microgrants Program enables and supports artistic projects within the Montgomery County community, with an annual impact of over $100,000 since 2021. This funding has facilitated projects that include kilns, printers, iPads for digital art, photography equipment, musical instruments, and much more.
Through the Student Art Scholarship Program, we have awarded nearly $500,000 in student art scholarships to 240 talented individuals. Over the last two decades, we have made a significant impact on young artists who have taken their creativity to schools all across the world.
Our Public Art Program enhances the cultural landscape of our community by partnering with artists, arts organizations, and schools. The public art collection of The Woodlands is one of the largest collections of public art in the nation.
Three majorevents, including The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, the Texas Fine Craft Show, and the Young Makers Market, promote the arts in the community at different levels. Proceeds of all events go back to The Woodlands and Montgomery County to support the Because Art Matters mission.
