WHAT IS THE WOODLANDS G.R.E.E.N.?
The Woodlands GrassRoots Environmental Education Network, a tax-deductible 501c3 education organization that promotes natural resource conservation, recycling, solid waste reduction, safe and sensible care of our air and water resources, and other responsible actions that protect the environment and its inhabitants.

Initiated Recycling in The Woodlands - now included as part of community association services
Earth Day Festival co-organizer - annually since 1990, with hands-on activities and booths focused on protecting our natural environment for future generations
Sponsor Texas Recycles Day and The Woodlands Landscaping Solutions programs
Donate educational materials to Montgomery County Public Libraries
Publish The Dragon Circle - newsletter of The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. published three times a year
Sponsor the Buy Recycled Boutique - providing markets for recycled products
Promote a Health-E House - promoting non-toxic solutions for home and garden that are safer for the environment
Promote recycling - expanding recycling opportunities beyond curbside at public events, swim meets, July 4th parade, triathons, and Habitat for Humanity ReStore
