A graduate of the University of Karachi Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Karim completed his internal medicine residency at Loyola University Medical Center, Foster G. McGaw Hospital and Hines VA Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Karim is a firm believer in the vital role a good patient/doctor relationship plays in maintaining good health. He also advocates the importance of continuity of care and will often follow his patients during their hospitalization. His clinical interests include cardiology, metabolic syndrome-related disorders, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes and obesity.
He has been consecutively selected as a "Houston Top Doc" in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2014 by H Texas Magazine and has practiced in The Woodlands for the past 15 years. Dr. Karim lives with his family in The Woodlands and in his spare time enjoys traveling, reading, music and staying active. He encourages his patients to find hobbies and remain active as a part of a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Karim is an avid racquetball player who has competed in state doubles competitions.
