Hats Off to Reading is a FREE family literacy event at The Pavilion, hosted in collaboration with Conroe Independent School District.

Reading sparks curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning, especially in children. It's one of the best ways to nurture an active mind, eager to explore and engage with the world. At Hats Off to Reading, every child will have the opportunity to choose and take home a free book, helping to foster essential reading skills during their formative years.

This event also shows how enjoyable reading can be—kids will participate in exciting, literacy-based activities, such as meeting beloved storybook characters and crafting their own personalized bookmarks. The goal is to inspire a lasting passion for reading that will stay with them throughout their lives.

Hats Off to Reading is festive, fun, and completely free, taking place right before Once Upon a Symphony—a free concert by The Woodlands Symphony, featuring storybook songs! Reading and writing are integral parts of The Arts, and by hosting both events on the same night, we invite children to experience and appreciate these joys in a variety of ways. We look forward to seeing you there!
